Pam,

I'm not sure if you're even responding to an article I wrote. There was not a single entitlement-minded comment in it, and certainly no reference to reparations or anything of the like. If you'd read the entire post, you'd see that my real issue is with people who use bully pulpits to rile up people who are not capable of rational discourse - that's all. As for all of the ranting about get off welfare handouts, etc., I am an educated professional who has made six-figures for years, so I'm not sure where all that is coming from either.

So sorry you got so little from the post. And I love it when republicans trot out their history of supporting blacks as if it's not possible for your party to have evolved into the intolerant, closed-minded set of people that were so anxious to be seen at the McCain/Pain rallies this last election cycle. You may be black, but you rhetoric is no different than theirs.

Thank you for writing this apt entry. Given recent clamor over health care reform, your points about the consequences of hate speech by right wing media are more important by the day.

Seems to me you simply support Obama due to the color of his skin. Even people who voted for this guy are waking up from the dream only to discover this nightmare is reality.

Have you heard about the Maafa 21 documentary that has just been released? It goes into great detail about the who, what and how racist attitudes are being perpetuated today and what the ultimate goal of it
is. the shocking thing is that it has been going on for years under the guise of "helping" the black community. You can see a preview at maafa21.com

The full length documentary was shown twice in DC at the
Capitol Visitor Center's new theater. The second showing included a large contingent from the Black Congressional Caucus, as well as, other offices. They were shocked by it.

I saw it at Pastor Broden's church last week and there were tears, and gasps. The information just gets more disturbing as it goes on like when Elaine gave her story about how she was sterlized by the
state against her will when she was 14, or Nixon's "black bastards" comments.

If you are interested in more information email me and I will give you direct contact information.

I write this letter not just looking for help, but for most ; change. I along with many other Dads, Brothers, Sons & Fathers are very "Desatisfied" in how the DCSE is being operated. Do we really want to state gender bias here, are the cases being handled improper??? Or do we as supporting Fathers have rights when it comes to the DCSE??? If the father is already supporting his children, then let him do so. It is so unjust & so unfair to the fathers who are already there & already supporting....   I have Joint Legal Custody w/ Shared Physical Custody - I have our son every week Tuesday - Friday (over night stay) . I have his own clothes for him, & everything that he will need for his stay with me, even down to his toys, car seat & learning materials.   If this is not supporting your child, than will someone PLEASE tell me & the other 1000's of Real Fathers out here what more do the system (DCSE) want from us???   We are letting some of the mothers " Militate" our great system of Justice & Laws of our land. They are taking our MONEY, the DCSE are taking our drivers license - they are making it were the Fathers have no win in these matters. If it really is - than lets really make it Justices for All.  I am not against the DCSE , But lets go after the Real Dead Beat parents & not after the Real & True parents!!!!   Can we make this right - PLEASE.     In cases like mind, with both parents having 50/50 - no parent should be order or rewarded support.    Antoine F.Cotton    Case # 3757194     I Just Need My Life Back.... Let Real Fathers Do What Real Fathers Do!!!!!     The support should be base on the time frame (how many days) that i (The f ather) have our son in my custody. Not the money.        This matter is very much an problem for me, because in this case it feels to me that Courts, Judge & the DCSE do not care that i am "ALREADY" supporting our son to all most the fullest, it feels like they are trying to tell me how i should be rising & supporting our son....     This is not call child support - It is Mother support. They are real fathers out here crying everyday about how the Laws & the system feels so Unjust & so Unfair to the real fathers ; this is one of the main reasons why a great percent of them do not even show up to court!!! Are we the people & Law makers going to stand for something (or) keeping falling for the same old anything...     Parents need help to ; But fathers need help now!!!!!    Lets Make It Right......            251 E. Ladies Mile Rd. #6     Richmond, Va.   23222   804/612-4113                     ;

This is 2008 and this message is still very important today. I just happened across this website and totally agree. Our kids of all background who are at a disadvantage educationally need the caring and support HERE!
  We as americans need to provide our children with the technology and learning that will help to advance them now and in the future to keep our country great.
